Welcome to the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering!

Our graduate programs provide a wide variety of research opportunities in three main areas: Dynamics, Systems and Control (DSC); Solid Mechanics, Design and Manufacturing (SMDM); and Thermal Science and Fluid Dynamics (TSFD).

The Department's longstanding traditions of collaboration of its 50 faculty and 240 graduate students with academic, industrial and government researchers worldwide, active participation of undergraduate students in research projects, and emphasis on original ideas provide a climate of lively and effective development of symbiotic research and teaching programs.
